Hirsch Feed and Farm Supply in West Plains is hosting its annual bee classes again this year. There will be three classes in 2026, one in February and two in March.
Dates
The dates for the classes are Saturday, February 21, 2026; Saturday, March 21, 2026; and Saturday, March 28, 2026. [1] All the classes will be between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm.
Location
The classes will be at the Hirsch’s store in West Plains, Missouri.
The Class
The bee classes will teach attendees the basics of beekeeping needs and how the hive reacts, looks, operates, and thrives. Lunch will not be provided.
Teacher
The teacher for the bee classes is James Rhein, who is a local beekeeper with over 50 years of experience.

Although there is no cost to attend any of the classes, seating is limited. To sign up for one of the classes, you can sign up at the front counter at Hirsch’s.
