Help Clear A New Trailhead Near Greer From April 10th-12th

The Ozark Trail Association is working on clearing a new trailhead near Greer Recreation Area on the Eleven Point River. They are seeking volunteers to help clear out the trailhead from April 10-12, 2026.

Dates

The dates for clearing the trailhead are Friday, April 10th through Sunday, April 12th. [1] Volunteers can begin arriving anytime on Friday.

Schedule

Friday will mainly be for setting up and making sure everything is ready. On Saturday, volunteers will gather in the day use parking lot at Greer at 8:15 am to carpool and get a pep talk. [2] Saturday night will be a cookout for everyone.

Camping

Volunteers can bring their tent to camp out at the Greer Springs Campground. Several group campsites will be reserved for volunteers.

Tools

The needed tools to clear the trailhead will be provided to all volunteers.

Trailhead

The trail that is being cleared out is the new spur trailhead for the western section of the Eleven Point River towards Banner Road (County Road 430).

Who Can Come

Any person, no matter the age, is encouraged to come and help clear out the trailhead.
