Do you enjoy sitting outdoors listening to gobblers all around you, but are unable to bring one closer to harvest? The Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) is hosting a class offering tips and suggestions to help you bag your bird.
What Is This?
MDC is calling in experts to talk about the essentials of turkey hunting. With spring turkey season coming in April, start preparing now for the bird of your dreams. The experts will talk about the essential equipment, strategies, scouting, and turkey calls needed to be a successful turkey hunter.
When Is This?
MDC will host the class this Saturday, March 14, 2026, between 9 a.m. and noon.
Who Can Attend?
This class is open to everyone over the age of 9. Children under the age of 16 need to be accompanied by an adult.
Cost?
There is no cost to attend the class. However, registration is required. There are two classes: one in person and one virtual.
If you want to attend the class in person at Burr Oak Woods Nature Center, which is located at 1401 NW Park Road in Blue Springs, you can register here.
If you want to skip the drive, the class will be held virtually. You can register here for that.
Both classes are held on the same date and at the same time.
