What Do You Know About Turtles? Learn Here!

Missouri is home to many kinds of turtles. You see them as they cross the roads. What do you know about turtles? Can you keep them? Feed them? Should you fear them? The Missouri Department of Conservation is hosting a virtual program discussing various kinds of turtles and interesting facts about them.

What Is This?

MDC Naturalist Morgan Wyatt will discuss the variety of turtle species found in Missouri and how they’ve been able to be part of our outdoors world for a long time. Wyatt will also discuss what people can do to be sure these remarkable reptiles remain a part of Missouri’s outdoors world.

This virtual program is titled “Amphibians and Reptiles: Turtles.”

When Is The Class?

The class will be held on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, between 6 and 7 pm.

Who Can Attend?

This event is open to everyone over the age of eight.

Is There A Cost?

No, this program is free. However, registration is required to participate. Use this link to register. Registrants must provide an e-mail, so a program link can be sent to them. This program will include a chat-based question-and-answer period where participants can interact with the presenters.

Where Is This?

The class will be in Springfield; however, this is a virtual event. Anyone with internet can attend.
