This is the time of year to grab a pair of binoculars and head outside.  You can learn more about the variety of birds that can be in the area in winter. But how do you find out more about these birds? The Missouri Department of Conservation is there to help. They are hosting the “Birds: Winter Bird Walk” program in Springfield on Friday. Here are the details.

What Is It?

People can look and learn more about birds at the “Birds: Winter Bird Walk” program at the Missouri Department of Conservation’s (MDC) Springfield Conservation Nature Center.

MDC Naturalist Morgan Wyatt will lead people on the nature center’s trails and talk about some of the bird species that call this area home in winter.
