May is here with thoughts of warmer weather and existing outdoors as much as possible before bugs come out in full force. What better way to celebrate perfect weather than with an American staple: cooked-out burgers? We all know that people enjoy the burger the way they want to: with ketchup, mustard, cheese. After that the toppings and endless, but that was covered previously on AltonMo.com. Now as we sit down to eat this delicious, perfect burger, what do we want with it?

Munchie Sides

The top sides for munching on include potato chips and other flavored chips, like sour cream and onion. The more zing the better. Fries and onion rings make it to this list.

Other Sides

Perhaps you want something alongside your burger that isn’t chips. Potato salad is a top choice. But in the summer seasons, nothing beats fresh corn on the cob next to your burger. Pasta salads and laws are further down the list, but do rank as choices for outside eating. Don’t forget baked beans [1]. Need something healthy for the meal. Mac and cheese is making a top choice in many meals, might as well add it to the burger meal. Add to that are fresh vegetables from the garden or local market. Cooked or raw, that seen to have more flavor eaten with a burger.
