“The Nutcracker” Ballet A Big Success For Children’s Ballet of The Ozarks

West Plains, Mo. – The Children’s Ballet of the Ozarks (CBO) performed “The Nutcracker” Ballet at the West Plains Civic Center on Friday, December 11, 2020, at 7:00 pm. This was the opening night for “The Nutcracker.”

Different Groups

Ayzlee Copling once again played Clara Staulbaum, and Zane Copling played the Nutcracker Prince. In the ballet, the Nutcracker Prince turns into a real boy, and he and Clara enjoy the multiple groups that come to perform for them.

Before the intermission came, the Snow King and Queen came out along with the snowflakes. The magic was brought about with the snow falling on the dancers.

The Russians, James Dietsch, Lance Forbeck, David Hines, Luke Mortensen, Thomas Stock, Julian LeBaron, Kenley LeBaron, McKinley Satterfield, Faith Medwid, and Bella Mortensen, entertain the audience with their acrobatic and funny dance.

Act II

After the intermission, the angles, sugar sprinkles, Spanish, Russians, Mother Ginger, and many other groups performed.

Clara is frightened by the mice led by the mouse king.

The Ballet

The ballet showed the grace of the ballerinas and the strength of the cavalier. “The Nutcracker” ballet brought fun and magic to the audience.

The Sugar Plum Fairy, Tia Stock, and her Cavalier, Nathaniel Carter, dance for Clara and the Nutcracker Prince.

More Shows

The Children’s Ballet of the Ozarks will do five more shows of “The Nutcracker.” A matinee will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, December 12. There will be another show on Friday, December 18, at 7:00 pm; and there will be another matinee on December 19, at 2:00 pm. An evening show will also be held at 7:00 pm on December 19.
