Thomasville Walk/Run This Saturday Morning

Thomasville, Missouri, has scheduled a walk/run. All proceeds go to their fire department. Thomasville is ready for you if you are an aspiring athlete or want to get out for an early morning run. They even planned it early in the cool of the morning.

What Is Happening

Thomasville is hosting a 5k/1-mile walk/run. For the novice, come out early to participate in the 1-mile walk/run. If you are in a hurry, run the one mile. If you are not physically active at that hour, feel free to walk the one mile. They also have a 5k. Bring the kids because children twelve and under can participate for free! The routes take you through downtown Thomasville, then north and south. The 5k even crosses the Eleven Point River.

While supplies last, runners receive a free t-shirt. When the runs are finished, a free breakfast is available to all who participated. They are also hosting an auction.

When Is This Happening?

The races take place tomorrow, Saturday, June 3, 2023. Registration for those not already registered begins at 6:00 am. The races begin at 7:30 am. Breakfast follows at 9:00 am.

Where Is This?

This all happens in Thomasville, Missouri. From Alton, take Highway 160 West. At the sharp curve, take Highway 99 north across the bridge into Thomasville.

Cost?

There is a cost to participate. The 5k costs $40. The 1 mile costs $20. And the fun run/walk for kids twelve and under is free!

Who Gets The Money?

For all of these efforts- the runs and the auction- all funds received go to the Thomasville Fire Department.

So bring out the entire family for an early morning walk through beautiful Thomasville, while supporting the fire department, and while getting a free breakfast!
