Today, January 23, 2024, is National Pie Day. This is not Pi Day, known on March 14 (3.14). This is the pie you eat day. Whether you have pie for dessert or the first course, Americans like pie! To take advantage of the day, some businesses are offering discounts for today only. But first, a few fun facts.

Apple pie is the preferred favorite pie. Even through the Thanksgiving holidays, people prefer apple pie over pumpkin. So many enjoy a slice of apple pie that it ranks number five of all of the top desserts- chocolate chip cookies being the favorite dessert.
