In mid-December, President Biden awarded the highest civilian honor to the head of Planned Parenthood. On January 4, he honored more Americans with the Presidential Medal of Freedom. The recipients may surprise you. The twenty recipients are a group of lawmakers, lawyers, and activists.

What Is This Medal For?

This medal  is the highest civilian honor awarded to those who have contributed significantly to the

prosperity, values, or security of the United States, world peace, or other significant societal, public or private endeavors [1].

Hillary Clinton

Biden praised Hillary for making history many times.

Liz Cheney

She was honored for putting the American people over her party.

George Soros

George Soros is a controversial investor, philanthropist, and founder of the Open Society Foundations.

Tim Gill

Tim advanced LGBTQ rights.

Bill Nye

He promoted evolution through children’s programs.

Biden honored many of his home state of Delaware, as well as well-known actors and athletes. President Biden believes great leaders keep the faith, give everyone a fair shot, and put decency above all else.
