Covid numbers are plummeting in cities as well as hospitals. However, big government believes there is still reason to fear and to take protective actions. Nonetheless, on February 22, 2022, President Biden extended the national emergency for covid=19 [1]. Public transportation are required to mandate mask wearing. this means that those who want to ride a bus, train, and ferry.  Even natural immunity is sufficient protection, per a recent study in Israel. This is why several states have moved on, declaring that the pandemic is over. Going along that way, they want mask mandates lifted.

What Is Happening?

As of March 31, 2022, 21 states are challenging the CDC transit mask rule. Besides Missouri, the states filing this protest are Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Montana, Nebraska, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Utah, Virginia, and West Virginia. The lawsuit contends that the mask mandate exceeds the control of the CDC. Governor DeSantis from Florida, said,

It is well past time to get rid of this unnecessary mandate and get back to normal [2].

These states want the immediate halt of this mandate along with reimbursement for attorney’s fees. These states filing the suit are all open and are not suffering major repercussions for allowing the public to decide whether to wear a mask or not. The lawsuit is not condemning masks. It it condemning the CDC for taking power and taking the decision making efforts away from adults.

Time will tell what is to come of the lawsuit and the freedoms of Americans.
