Alton, Mo. – Easter is a special time of year. Often called Resurrection Day, on this particular Sunday, people who normally do not attend any church services, will make an effort to attend. Some churches plan musicals, cantatas, plays, or early sunrise services. Alton, Missouri wants to encourage local residents to attend church on Easter. To make it easier, the churches are getting together for their annual sunrise service. Everyone is invited, even if you regularly attend a different church. Here is what you need to know.

When Is The Service?

The early sunrise service is scheduled for 6:30 a.m. on Sunday, April 17, 2022. By coming to celebrate the Lord’s resurrection early, that leaves the rest of the day free for all sorts of Easter and family activities.

Where Is This Service?

This year, the service will take place at the Alton Assembly of God Church. this church is located at 301 Hodges Street, in Alton.

Who Can Attend?

Anyone may be present. From young children to older adults, the public is invited to come.

This early sunrise service only comes once a year. So do not oversleep. Arise early in anticipation of a celebratory service, proclaiming the Risen Lord.
