Alton, Mo. –Alton had its National Day of Prayer meeting on May 1, 2025, at the Alton Assembly of God Church. Around twenty people showed up to pray.

Service

Pastors from five local churches helped throughout the service. The attendees sang two songs, then said the Pledge of Allegiance to the U.S. flag, to the Christian flag, and to the Bible. Charles Trantham gave a short talk after the pledges, saying that God is the only one who can deliver the U.S. Blake Willard, pastor of the Tree of Life Church, gave the ending talk, quoting Romans 5 and 8, and a prayer. Kevin Crum finished the service by praying for the food.

Food

After the service, the attendees went downstairs to fellowship and to eat some desserts. Some of the desserts included cupcakes, brownies, a berry pie, apple pie, chocolate chip cookies, and much more.
