Local Author Hosts Book Signing On March 10th

West Plains will host a book signing by David Jerome on March 10th. Who is he? He wrote a biography on Bill Virdon, a professional baseball player. The event is free. Nonetheless, Jerome will have books to sell and sign. Time permitting, he may even read about from the book. This is only a two-hour slot, so mark your calendars!

Who Was Bill Virdon?

Bill was a professional baseball player. His family moved to West Plains when he was twelve. By age 18, he was signed on to the New York Yankees. From there, he played for different teams and even managed several teams. Throughout his career, he earned numerous awards. He passed away in 2021.

Who Is David Jerome?

Jerome is a retired U.S. Army officer and a former college professor.

When Is This Signing?

For one day only, David Jerome will be signing his book. This Friday, March 10, 2023, between 11:00 am and 2:00 pm, he will have books to sell and sign.

Where Is This Event?

Jerome will be at the West Plains welcome center. Its address is 2999 Porter Wagoner Blvd. in West Plains.
