For several Saturdays now, the Alton Farmers market has been open for business to the public.
Community Oregon County did not have a county fair to the dismay of its residents this year. But Howell County did hold a fair.
On the Lincoln days, multiple republicans currently running for offices addressed the community.
Occasionally, the BB Road Fire Department barbecue fundraiser is held at 4 through 7 PM to benefit the BB road volunteer firefighters.
On October 7th , 2017 the thirty-second annual Black Gold Walnut Festival was held at the Alton courthouse around the square.
Horses and the local firetruck were involved in the festivities. Beautiful cars cruised the parade route. This parade is an anticipated event for everyone.
West Plains held its annual Veteran’s Day parade. It is the only parade honoring our Veterans in the area. People come from all over to show them honor.
The Community Worship Center hosted a fundraiser for the Alton Senior Center. Several were involved in planning the event.
