Construction Period

Tentative letting begin in fall of 2025 and preliminary work will begin as early as the winter of 2025. A five-month closure of the bridge will begin in May of 2026 after school ends. The estimated completion of the project is fall of 2026.

River Accesses

Although the Narrows west entrance and east access will remain open most of the time, during certain parts of the construction, the accesses will be closed along with the boat ramp. The river traffic is not expected to be stopped that much except for brief closures for girders being set and the truss pan is removed.
