With a new administration that appreciates its citizens’ beliefs and traditions,  major stores—including Target and Lowe’s — are closing for Easter Sunday. While the previous administration closed churches, arrested pro-lifers, and criticized any who believed differently from the abnormal, President Trump is forging the way for Christians to be bold in practicing their religion and traditions. This has led stores to be unafraid to follow his leadership. Lowe’s and Target are among the two that have announced that they will close on Easter Sunday. Shoppers need to plan accordingly.

Lowe’s

Lowe’s announced that its employees will have a paid day off. This is the sixth year in a row that it has done this. It is closing more than 1,700 locations. The CEO wishes all employees to spend time with their loved ones.

Other Closures

Major retailers, including Target, Costco, Sam’s Club, Aldi, Marshalls, BestBuy, and Aldi, are also closing for Easter.

Not Closed

However, major department stores, including Home Depot, Walmart, CVS, Walgreens, and others, will remain open, though some may have holiday hours.

Easter

Easter Sunday is April 20, 2025. This is the day Christians worldwide celebrate Jesus’s resurrection from the dead.
