Alton, Mo. – The BB road volunteer fire department once again hosted a successful meal. At the meal, around thirty-five people were there at one time. The BB Road Fire Department is located off of county road 225 after driving on US-160 out of Alton.

The BBQ was to raise money for the volunteer fire department. The BB Road Fire Department BBQ Dinner was Saturday, August 17, 2019, 4 pm through 7 pm. The main dish was BBQ pork sandwiches or there where plain pork sandwiches accompanied by baked beans, and Self-Serving coleslaw. There were additional side dishes like a bean and corn mixture and peppers. Lastly, there where desserts, there were cinnamon rolls, cakes, and cookies. To drink, there was mountain dew, doctor pepper, coke, lemonade, coffee, and iced tea.

There was plenty of room to sit at the tables to eat and talk with friends. There where parking places around the fire department and if all of those were filled, there was an empty field that people could park in, but it had long grass.
