#1 Movie Night
The first way you can bring joy to your family is by having a movie night. Pick out your favorite Christmas movie (or movies) and grab your favorite snacks and blankets. Sit together on the couch and enjoy the Christmas movie!
#2 Christmas Party
Another way you celebrate Christmas is by having a Christmas party. It can be a party with just your family or you can invite your friends or neighbors to it. Decorate your house for Christmas and plan a delicious meal. You can even be fancy and send out invitations with a dress code.
#3 Hot Cocoa Party
Christmas and the winter season in general is synonymous with hot cocoa or hot chocolate. Around Christmas, a variety of special hot cocoa flavors come out in stores. Buy some of those flavors and have a hot cocoa party at home with your family. Get toppings like peppermint, chocolate kisses, flavored vanillas, and marshmallows.
#4 Send Christmas Cards
Giving back to your community with your family encourages Christmas joy. You can send Christmas cards to your friends and neighbors, or you can send cards to your local nursing home. A final way to have joy around Christmas is by having a gingerbread house contest. You can buy either a gingerbread house kit or you can make the gingerbread from scratch. Group into teams or do the contest individually. When everyone is done decorating, vote on who decorated the best house.
