Alton, Mo. – Magic Keller of Ozarks School of Botanical Medicine and Becky Montgomery, Librarian at Alton Public Library, are proud to announce the details of a free community class: How to Learn Herbal Medicine Using Your Local Library, scheduled for Monday, July 14th, from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at Alton Public Library.

How to Learn Herbal Medicine Using Your Local Library promises a convergence of library resources and herbal medicine knowledge, presenting Oregon County residents with an exciting opportunity for learning.

What Is This?

The Ozarks School of Botanical Medicine and Becky Montgomery are excited to announce the upcoming event, “How to Learn Herbal Medicine Using Your Local Library,” where library resources meet herbal medicine skills. This two-hour class will showcase many free resources available to Oregon County Library cardholders, feature a selection of herbal medicine books in the library catalogue, and offer new ideas for herbal medicine projects.

Overview

The event will feature a section on various free library resources, including locally available books and ways to access online resources and borrow physical books from other libraries. They will also examine research keywords and subjects to help attendees consider how they can acquire the herbal medicine information and skills that interest them the most.

Speakers

Alton Library, Becky Montgomery, and local herbalist Magic Keller of Ozarks School of Botanical Medicine will host this event. Magic Keller is a teaching herbalist committed to sharing herbal medicine skills with the community. Ozarks School of Botanical Medicine periodically offers herbal medicine skills classes in Oregon County and the surrounding areas.
