Thayer Senior Center Offers Additional Meals Through April

Our local senior centers closed with so many other businesses at the beginning of the pandemic. Thayer Senior Center is trying to meet the needs of its seniors while protecting them. April is opening up for them as they offer weekly hot meals to go for the seniors.


Thayer Senior Center meals will be available on Wednesdays. They are offering on April 7 is ham steak, baked potato, country blend, hot roll, and cinnabun cake. April 14 offers steak fajitas, refried beans, California blend, and homemade apple cake. April 21 offers BLT, cucumber salad, macaroni salad, oreo cookie & cream pudding. April 28 will offer southern oven fried chicken, mashed potatoes & gravy, seasoned green beans, hot roll, and brownie.


The senior center requests a contribution of $3.50 for those 60 years and over. For those under that age bracket, a contribution of $6.00 is requested.


The Thayer Senior Center is offering these hot meals to go each Wednesday in April. The meals are ready for those stopping by from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.


The Thayer Senior Center is located at 100 Chestnut Street in Thayer.
