The different types of blood.

Three local cities will each host an upcoming blood drive. Due to the covid vaccinations, many people are not donating blood while the need for blood has increased.  If you are able, they ask for you to schedule an appointment today to give blood. The Community Blood Center of the Ozarks (CBCO) says it needs all types of blood [1].

Cabool

CBCO will host a blood drive on Thursday, April 1. The Cabool High School Alumni Gym will open its doors to doners. It is located at 1025 Rogers Avenue in Cabool. CBCO will take donations between 1:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. Appointments are strongly engcouraged, but not necessary. You can go here to make an appointment. Masks are required. If a doner does not come with a mask, CBCO will provide you with one.

West Plains

The next donation date is Friday, April 16. Ozarks Healthcare will host this blood drive. CBCO is supporting this drive. The donations will take place between 12:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. They also ask but do not demand appointments. Masks are required.

Thayer

The American Red Cross is hosting a blood drive on Tuesday, April 20. This drive takes place at the First Baptist Church Christian Activity Center in Thayer. It happens between 2:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. Appointments are appreciated. One can set an appointment here. One can also call 1-800-733-2767 for additional information or to make an appointment.
