Daylight Savings Times Ends This Sunday- Sleep More

Changing clock time

Back in March clocks across most of America ‘sprung forward’ to begin Daylight Savings time. However, it is fall now and time to ‘fall back’. This is what everyone looks forward to.

Official Time

Officially, one sets the clock back one hour at 2:00 a.m. Sunday morning. This allows each household to sleep the extra hour, waking up refreshed. Some families prefer to move the clocks earlier to help adjust, even changing them forward Saturday afternoon.

Comparison

In contrast to the spring changing of the clocks, where everyone goes around dazed for several days or a week trying to regain the daylight changes, not too many people complain about getting additional sleep. Growing darkness earlier in the evening doesn’t trouble most individuals as colder temperatures draw one inside to warmth.

What Reminders?

As a handy reminder, many places recommend changing your smoke detector batteries when you change the clocks. As batteries do run down, a smoke detector battery is not often thought of, but definitely appreciated when the time comes. While doing so, check the wiring and test the device. So, when you change your clocks, remember to change your batteries, also.

Daylight Savings Time comes only once a year. Make the most of it and relax, enjoying the fall colors after you get that extra sleep.
