Learn All About Black Bear Hunting Through MDC

Black bears are in the area and are coming from their dens. Are you interested in learning more about black bear hunting in Missouri? Are you trying to decide whether to apply for a bear hunting permit? The Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) will offer a Discover Nature: Black Bear Hunting Basics program on May 1 from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m.

What Will It Teach?

This introductory class will teach participants about black bears. It will discuss what it takes to have a successful bear hunt. Discussions will include black bear biology, permit application, and general hunting strategies.

When Is This Class?

The class is on Monday, May 1, 2023, between 6-8 pm.

Where Is The Class?

The class takes place in the comfort of your living room! This is a virtual class. To register for the virtual class, you can go here. They are also conducting an in-person class in Jefferson City. Seating is limited, so be sure to register here ahead of time.

Ages?

This class is open to people of all ages. There is no cost to attend either virtually or in person.
