Summer is almost upon us, and when you think of summer, you often think of going to the river. But there may be a predicament: you don’t know how to kayak or canoe! The Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) is having a virtual program on May 21, 2025, that will talk about how to kayak and canoe, along with tips and tricks for the two.
The Program
During the program, attendees will learn the basic equipment, paddle strokes, and knowledge needed to safely paddle Missouri’s streams and lakes. [1] After the initial talk, there will be a time of questions and answers.
When Is It
The program will be on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, between noon and 1:00 pm.
