Missouri State Highway Patrol Youth Academy Is July 28th-Aug. 1st

The Missouri State Highway Patrol is having a Youth Academy Program from July 28, 2025, through August 1, 2025, in Piedmont, Missouri. The camp will dive into what training it takes to become a state trooper.

Where and When

The camp will start on Monday, July 28th, and run through Friday, August 1st. [1] It will be at Eagle Sky of the Ozarks in Piedmont.

The Camp

The Youth Academy Program shows high schoolers what it is like to be in law enforcement. Throughout the week, the attendees will participate in PT (physical training), obstacle courses, high rope confidence courses, and talks on being a trooper. The students will also participate in mock activities such as pulling someone over. State troopers will lead the camp.

Registration

Applications must be sent in by Friday, June 13th. There are a limited number of spots available. A notification saying you have been accepted or not will be sent out by July 7th; the notification will also include a packing list, graduation info, check-in time, and directions.

Cost

The Youth Academy Program is free. It is designed to improve the bond between area youth, law enforcement, and the entire community.

Requirements

Some requirements for the Youth Academy are that the attendee be between 16 and 18 years old, the student must be in decent physical condition, the student must remain at the camp for the week, and the student should be interested in a career in law enforcement. [2]
