Thayer and Alton, Mo. – The Farmer’s Daughter Taste of the Season event, as well as Alton Assembly of God’s block party, happened on Saturday, November 1, 2025.
Taste of the Season
The Farmer’s Daughter in Thayer held its Taste of the Season event on Saturday. A couple of businesses were set up offering free samples or discounted items. The Wooden Spoon had several food samples of the meals she offers. Yes Honey drinks and Ozark Mountain Creamery eggnog were also offering samples. Coffee from Perky Pony Coffee was also available to taste. Beautifully crafted pottery, including ring trays and cups were also being sold.
Block Party
The Alton Assembly of God Church had its block party on November 1st. There was free food for all attendees, including hot dogs with toppings, drinks, popcorn, and candy. Attendees could also participate in painting pumpkins or birdhouses, which they could take home after the event. Small prizes were also given out to individuals.
