ChatGPT, the new AI writer that many people are using today, is giving students two months free of ChatGPT Plus if they sign up by May 31, 2025.
Who It Is For
This deal is eligible to students who are full and part-time students at degree-granting schools in the United States and Canada.
ChatGPT Plus
ChatGPT Plus comes with all of the features of the free plan, including GPT-4o mini access, GPT-4o and o3-mini access, web search, file uploads, data analysis, image generation, and voice mode among other things. [1]
Claim the Deal
Students have from now until May 31st to claim the two months free. Whenever you sign up, then the two months will start.
Redeem the Deal
Here’s what you need to do to claim the deal.
- Login to ChatGPT
- Start the verification process by going to chatgpt.com/students and clicking the “Claim Now” button.
- Complete the verification with SheerID by filling out the form.
- Finish redemption. You’ll get an email with a “Claim Now” button. [2]
Already Have a Subscription
If you already have a subscription with ChatGPT Plus, just verify your student status through SheerID, and you will be credited with two free months. If you have ChatGPT through Google Play or Apple Subscriptions, you will need to cancel that subscription and start a new one in a web browser to avoid being double-charged. [3]
After Two Months
Once the two months are up, you can cancel your subscription or you can start paying to continue using ChatGPT. If you do not cancel, ChatGPT will automatically charge your account at the end of the two months.
