Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) at Twin Pines Conservation Education Center (CEC) will host eagle days later this month. They will have live eagles brought in from the Springfield Dickerson Park Zoo. At different times of the year, wild eagles can be sighted here in Alton. This event will help educate the public.

Where Is This Held?

The Winona, Missouri Twin Pines CEC will host the event. Twin Pines is located on U.S. Highway 60 just one mile east of Winona.

What Is Happening?

Twin Pines has partnered with Dickerson Park Zoo in Springfield, Missouri. The zoo is bringing eagles for the guests to see and ask questions about. Eagle experts will be on hand to educate those in attendance with fun facts.

How To Attend?

Registration ahead of time is required and the center has a limit of only 25 participants. One can register online here. This event is open to persons of all ages. Once registered, you can cancel your registration before Thursday, January 20.

When Is This Activity?

This educational experience is scheduled for Thursday, January 20, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. It will last one hour.

For questions and concerns, one can call the facility at 573-325-1381. While this event is taking place, the trails and fishing pond will remain open to visitors. MDC is requiring social distancing practices. Masks are recommended, not required. For up to the moment guidelines, please call ahead closer to the date. But hurry- the available spaces are being reserved quickly.
