Less Humid Weather Brings More Buyers To The Farmer’s Market

Alton, Mo. – The Oregon County Farmer’s Market was once again held on Saturday, August 14, 2021, behind the Alton pool. Vendors were out selling produce, baked bread, baskets, and more for everyone.

Produce

Some of the produce the vendors sold were cherry tomatoes, zucchini, okra, and yellow squash.

Other Items

Some other items sold at the farmer’s market were homemade baskets, herbs, wind chimes, garlic, and cookies. There were also bunnies and puppies for sale. Eggs and beef were being sold there too.

New Vendor

One of the vendors was new to the farmer’s market- Dave and Denise Penn. They breed German Shorthaired Pointers. Dave and Denise Penn were selling three puppies. They gave demonstrations to the buyers to show the dogs skills. They are selling their pups from the website www.bwgsp.com.
