The 37th Annual Black Gold Walnut Festival is happening on Saturday, October 1, 2022. The Run the Town for the Gold 5K/1 Mile Run/Walk is happening the night before on September 30th. Here is some information concerning registering for the race and getting a booth.

Run/Walk

This year for the run/walk, there will be no difference in registration money. Everyone, adults and students, are $10 each. The reason why the price went down is because no shirt will be included in the registration. You can mail the registration forms to Alton Chamber of Commerce, PO. Box 141, Alton, Missouri 65606. You can also register the night of the race starting at 5:30 pm. Note: Although the registration form says $15 for students and $20 for adults, that is Not correct; it is $10 per person. Vendor

Any business or individual is encourage to have a booth at the Walnut Festival. Some vendors say that it brings them the best profit out of the whole year. There are three types of booths available. One parking space with no electric is $25. Twp parking places with no electric is $40 each. Two parking spaces with electric is $50. According to the Alton Chamber of Commerce, there are a lot of slots with electric left. The deadline for getting a booth at the Walnut Festival is Tuesday, September 20th. Also, make sure to decorate your booth as the best decorated booth will get $100. You can download the forms here and mail them in.
