Tai Chi Classes At Local Senior Centers Starting March 26th

Alton, Mo. – Do you have trouble with balance? How about joint pain or mobility limitations? Do you wish to improve your physical and mental health? Do you want to improve your well-being? Do you want to avoid joint pain or limitations?  This may be the class for you! The senior centers in Alton and Thayer will offer Tai Chi classes. You choose the date and time. Your body will notice a difference soon.

What Is This?

Tai Chi for Arthritis for Fall Prevention is an exercise program recommended by the CDC to benefit overall well-being. It requires no weights or strenuous exercise.

How Often Do They Meet?

The classes meet twice a week; you choose the time. They meet in Thayer and Alton.

Where Are These Meetings?

The meeting in Alton is held at the Alton Senior Center, 204 S. Main St., next to the post office. In Thayer, the meeting will be held at the Thayer Fun and Friends Senior Center, 100 Chestnut Street.

When Are The Classes?

The Alton classes meet Tuesdays and Thursdays between 12:30 and 1:30 pm. The Thayer classes meet at 2:30-3;30 pm and again at 5:30-6:30 for those who prefer evening classes. The first class is on March 26.

Cost?

Neither of the early classes charges for attendance. However, the Thayer evening class does have a $10 fee.
