This is part 2 of a 2-part series. Part 1 discussed the benefits of reading. Part two will list books that are good for reading.

As was mentioned earlier, reading has so many benefits. Actually, a lifetime of benefits can be gained by reading books, both in your physical health and your mental health. In comparing many sources, we have come up with recommended books for different ages.

Chiildren’s Books

Go to any library, and you can see all of the books available in the children’s department. But if you are a choosy parent, how do you choose? What are the Best books? Here is a list of fifteen time-tested books. There are plenty more, and some are personal choices.

Crossing between children’s literature and teen reading is the Little House on the Prarie series by Laura Ingalls Wilder.

Teen Books

Moving to the next older bracket, books move from fanciful and safe to overcoming problems while doing the best thing. Here is a list of ten all-time favorites.

Adults

Many more good books are on each list. Some, not all, keep their own home libraries, keeping the best books nearby to read and re-read over and over.

Adults are naturally able to read more comprehensive books. In adulthood, reading should both be a means of improving oneself and a source of pleasure. Every month, you can choose a genre from which to read. This can be done in addition to any work-related reading. As stated in the previous article, reading is healthy. Books do not need to be expensive, but they can be far more entertaining than a movie. Remember that next time you sit for a relaxing evening.
