Alton, Mo. – A whistleblower from the Department of Health and Human Services said that health workers sent to evacuate Americans did not have training or protective gear.

The Government sent some health workers to Wuhan, China to evacuate Americans from the coronavirus outbreak. The whistleblower claims that the workers were sent without training and without protective gear. The health workers were dealing closely with the passengers from Wuhan.  For example, the workers handed out room keys to passengers when they arrived in the United States for quarantine at military bases.

While the HHS workers were untrained and not properly clothed, the Center for Disease Control teams worked with the Department of Health and Human Service workers in “full gown, gloves, and hazmat attire.” [1]

Along with the health workers bringing the Americans back to the United States, personnel from the Administration for Children and Families also went to two Air Force bases to receive quarantined passengers. The personnel, upon arriving to receive the passengers, did not have the proper training or protective gear either.

The complaint read that the Department of Health and Human Services were improperly deployed and were not properly trained or equipped to operate in a public health emergency situation.
