Here Is Oregon County’s Sample Ballot For Tomorrow’s Elections

The local elections for Oregon County, Missouri, are happening tomorrow, Tuesday, April 7, 2026. Eligible voters are encouraged to get out and vote to make their voice heard!

Ballot

Multiple items will be on the ballot tomorrow (depending on where you live). Some of them include voting for mayors, city aldermen, and school board members. The other items on the ballot pertain to taxes: imposing a tax on recreational marijuana; having a sales tax with the proceeds going to roads and bridges; exempting certain tax payers from certain tax increases; and imposing a tax on all lodging and hotels in Alton.

Polling Locations

All the polling locations will be open from 6:00 am to 7:00 pm on Tuesday, April 6th. Here is the list of polling places for Oregon County residents.

  • Big Apple- Koshkonong Senior Citizens Building in Koshkonong
  • Ceder Bluff, Myrtle, Couch, Jeff, and Jobe Billmore- Centerpoint CoGop Church in Myrtle
  • Highland- Shilo Baptist Church in Rover
  • Johnson-Ozark- BB Community Building outside of Alton
  • Moore Blackpond- Thomasville Community Center in Thomasville
  • Piney 1, Piney 1 South, Piney 2, Piney 2 North, King, and Woodside- First Baptist Church in Alton
  • Thayer 1, Thayer 1-1, Thayer 2, and Thayer 2-2- First Assembly of God Church in Thayer

A town hall meeting was held in Thayer on April 2nd. At the meeting, some of the wording on the ballot was discussed. Candidates for various positions, for both the April elections and August elections, gave a little speech and answered questions. You can watch the full meeting here.
