Nebraska Principal of Elementary School Plays Grinch, Bans Christmas

Every year, about this time, there is a new story of someone who just can’t abide the American tradition and holiday called Christmas. Never mind, it’s been practiced for over 200 years in this country and is a national holiday. This year it’s Nebraska principal of Manchester Elementary School, Jennifer Sinclair, who is the “grinch”.

Banned!

She banned candy canes because they were in the shape of a “J” which stands for “Jesus,” and the color red is representative of the “blood of Jesus,” and the white “is a symbol of his resurrection”. She added that the color of the candy cane did not matter. They are banned. Also banned are Christmas trees in classrooms and reindeer, among others.

Acceptable (according to Ms. Sinclair)

Polar bears, sledding, gifts, gingerbread people (ahem…), and holidays of other people around the world are “acceptable.” Red and green colors, singing Christmas carols, etc. are not.

She has been placed on administrative leave.
