Remarks
First, he remarked that they don’t like it much when you bow down to the establishment.
He continued:
The bill they (the flyer) are referring to did not make it through the Senate anyway. However, it was gonna be a pretty insignificant tax cut for most people, but devastating to our county governments. It would have cut in half the funding for county roads and bridges, sheltered workshops, senior centers, public libraries, and affected many other services, including ambulance services and public schools.
 Elliott personally believes that property tax is the most offensive tax we pay and would love to abolish it !!! However, it’s the funding mechanism that we inherited, and we can’t realistically get rid of it until we have an alternative source of revenue for our counties!
