Watch: All The Events The AltonMo.com Field Team Covered In 2025

Last year, 2025, proved to be a busy year for AltonMo.com: countless events covered, hundreds of articles posted, hundreds of social media posted, dozens of videos posted on YouTube. Here is AltonMo.com’s 2025 in review.

First Quarter

January 2025 brought Alton’s homecoming game and the basketball matchup between the Alton Comets and Couch Indians. Alton and the surrounding community got over five inches of snow during January as well as an ice storm. In March, Oregon County had tornadoes hit the area. Also in March, AltonMo.com had a chance to take pictures of Becca’s Closet of the Ozarks. March ended with the AltonMo.com field team attending the Oregon County Alumni Showdown basketball game in Couch. April brought another natural disaster to the area, this time in the form of flooding. April was also the Alton Assembly of God’s Block Party.

Summer Months

The National Day of Prayer started off May. May also had the Four Corners Quartet come to Alton. In June, the officers for the Alton Chamber of Commerce were selected. July had the Independence Day celebrations. The AltonMo.com field team attended Alton’s, Thayer’s, and Rover Faith Tabernacle’s celebrations. During August, the Alton FEMA Building was repainted top showcase Comet spirit better.

Busy Fall/Winter Days

In September,  the AltonMo.com field team attended the annual Mammoth Spring car show, the Rover Volunteer Fire Department’s BBQ and auction, a Couch volleyball game, two Thayer football games, and Thomasville’s Autumn Days. The Walnut Festival and the run and bike races and cruise-in on Friday night kicked off October. The AltonMo.com field team also covered Thayer’s fall festival, a Thayer football game, Rover’s Turkey Shoot, and Alton’s Trunk-or-Treat.

November did not slow down in events with The Farmer’s Daughter Taste of the Season event, Alton Assembly of God’s Block Party, Herman Holmes plaque presentation, Thomasville’s Christmas Bazaar, three Thayer football games, a SEMO Economic & Development Forum, and BB Road’s Hunter’s Meal. In December, AltonMo.com covered fewer events with Alton’s Christmas Parade and the Echoes of the Past Village Christmas Lights display.
