Thayer, Mo. –The Thayer Bobcats went up against the Houston Tigers on Friday, September 22, 2023, at Louis Bozman Field for the Bobcats’ homecoming game. The Bobcats won 18-7.
Homecoming Queen
Early in the afternoon, there was a homecoming parade through Thayer. At 6:00 pm, the homecoming queen candidates and the homecoming court had their pictures taken. The 2023 Thayer High School Homecoming Queen is Jaylie Haven.
The Game
Early on in the game the Bobcats got two touchdowns. The Bobcats defense managed to hold the Tigers back. There were multiple good plays from both teams. The Tigers also got a touchdown in the first half. The score at halftime was 12-7 with the Bobcats in the lead. The Bobcats were able to score again in the final quarter. The final score was 18-7, with the Bobcats taking the win.
