On September 9, 2022, the Thayer Bobcats went up against the Liberty (Mtn. View) Eagles at the Eagles football field. The Eagles won 62-16.

The Alton Chamber of Commerce met on September 6, 2022, to finish planning for the Walnut Festival which will happen on October 1, 2022.

With the driveway completed, the Alton Burger Palace did reopen in order to celebrate its 24th Anniversary.

Myla Woods continues to educate her peers about the benefits of agriculture. And at the upcoming Walnut Festival, Myla will host a booth.

The 37th Black Gold Walnut Festival is happening on October 1, 2022. The 5K/1 Mile Run/Walk is happening the night before on September 30th.

There is an upcoming meeting planned. The meeting is set for Friday, September 15, 2022. Reservations are required.

The Rover Volunteer Fire Department is planning its annual department barbecue. After the meal, an auction is planned.
