More roadwork coming to the area and we need to plan accordingly. Missouri Department of Transportation (MODOT) has scheduled work on Highway 63 for bridge maintenance. Here are the details.

Where Is This Happening?

MODOT will work on the bridge on highway 63. This is a section of bridge in Howell County near Brandsville. This bridge is across the BNSF Railroad. More specifically, this bridge is located between County Road 9020 and County Road 9690.

When Is This Happening?

Weather permitting, MODOT will work on the road on Tuesday, January 18. This happens during regular business hours of 7:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.

What Will They Do?

The highway will be reduced to only one lane with a 12 foot restriction [1]. All highway northbound and southbound will be impacted.

Who Is Impacted?

Everyone who travels on highway 63 will feel the impact. Backups are expected. If possible, take a different route to avoid bottlenecks. To get to West Plains, one can take U.S. Route 160. It should not impact driving to Thayer or Koshkonong.

Weather permitting, this inconvenience should only last one day.
