Snow At 100°F? NOAA Forecasts Snow For Alton On Saturday

We are now officially in summer. We don’t expect snow this late in the year, but the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) forecasts snow this weekend for Alton, Missouri.

Temperatures

The average high temperature for this week is 88°F; the average low is 62°F. The high for Saturday, June 26, 2021, is 97°F– the hottest day of the week.

The Snow

NOAA forecasts rain/snow for Saturday and also for Sunday and Monday. On Saturday, they say a chance of snow showers between 11 pm and 4 am. [1]

Get Out Your Sleds

With snow being forecasted for the weekend, get out your sleds, toboggans, skis, and snowboards- but not your ice skates- so you’ll be ready. Don’t bother getting out your hats, coats, and mittens, since it will be hot!

Is Alton, Missouri, going to set a record for late snowfall of the year in almost 100°F weather? We will soon find out.
