White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders Joins Fox News as a Contributer

Former White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders will now be joining Fox News as a contributor- debuting on September 6. This announcement isn’t that surprising, considering that Sanders has openly supported Fox News during her time at the White House, in a statement, Sanders said she is “beyond proud to join their incredible stable of on-air contributors.”

During the campaigning for the 2016 election Sarah Sanders stood by President Trump’s side, since then, she has continued to work with him as his press secretary- working tirelessly to shut down any criticism of the president.

It’s a well-known fact that Sanders has sailed some rough seas since becoming his secretary, and her forceful clashes with reporters happened more often than not. Under her tenure, the White House ended the tradition of having a daily briefing with the press. Although there were no more official daily briefings, Sanders did regularly manage to brief the press in the White House driveway.

She’s managed to maintain a smooth friendship with the president for the past two and a half years and when announcing her resignation, even appeared to become emotional.“I’ve loved every minute, even the hard minutes,” she said at the event. “I love the president. I love the team that I’ve had the opportunity to work for.” ^[1]

Now she’s moving on to Fox News as the third former top White House communications official to join Fox after leaving the Trump administration. ^[2] “FOX News has been the number one news organization in the country for 17 years running, and I am beyond proud to join their incredible stable of on-air contributors in providing political insights and analysis,” Sanders said in a statement. ^[3]
