Alton City Hall Taking Applications For Lifeguards

Alton, Mo. – While the weather outdoors is warm or cold, Alton City Hall plans for the summer. In fact, they want you to think about summer also. They are looking for a crew of lifeguards for the city pool this summer. The season begins once school lets out and continues through the summer until it begins again in the fall.

Who Can Apply?

The city is taking applications from anyone over the age of sixteen, although they will consider fifteen-year-olds. All applicants must provide their own transportation to and from the pool. This is a seasonal job, not year-round. No prior experience is required.

Deadline

The deadline to return your application is Monday, March 11, 2024. The lifeguards will be chosen and trained for their positions at that time.

Additional Information

To those accepted as lifeguards, the city provides lifeguard training, which includes CPR and other training classes.

This is a great opportunity for a seasonal job for college students or high school students wanting extra money. Some benefits are that it is seasonal, only lasting through the summer, and it is local. The applicant will be instructed with all details. Hours vary but may include evenings and weekends.

Alton City Hall is located on the court square. The city pool is located at Tucker Creek Park, which is behind First Baptist Church.
