Hobby Lobby Is Receiving Backlash For Putting Out Ads On Major Holidays

Open Bible.

Open Bible.

Hobby Lobby is a craft store everyone enjoys going to. Every year at Christmas, Easter, and the Fourth of July, they put a full-page ad in the newspaper including Bible verses, quotes from former president’s, our Founding Fathers. But Hobby Lobby is receiving backlash from Freedom From Religion Foundation.

Hobby Lobby

Hobby Lobby has 900 different stores in 47 states. They uphold Christian views and donate to several charities, churches, and other ministries. [1] Hobby Lobby is committed to:

Honoring the Lord in all we do by operating the company in a manner consistent with Biblical principles. [2]

Holiday Messages

Every Christmas, Easter, and 4th of July, Hobby Lobby puts out a full-page ad in the newspaper. The ads includes Bible verses, quotes from supreme court justices, and others. Each quote emphasizes the relevance of God and the Bible in the fabric of American life. [3]

Freedom From Religion Foundation

The Freedom From Religion Foundation does not like it that Hobby Lobby puts out ads that reminds us of our American Christian heritage. The Freedom From Religion Foundation said,

We cannot overlook Hobby Lobby’s insidious influence and disinformation. [4]

Hobby Lobby’s 2020 Message

In Hobby Lobby’s 4th of July message in 2020, they started off by quoting Psalm 33:12, “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord.” They went on with quotes from presidents, supreme court justices, founding fathers, and congress. They also included quotes about supreme court rulings, education, and foreign opinion. [5]

So let’s run to Hobby Lobby the next time we need anything they have.
