When Is It
The Salvation Army Bell ringing starts the day after Thanksgiving, Friday, November 28, 2025; and will go through Wednesday, December 24, 2025.
Who Can Sign Up
Whether you’re and adult, a family, a young adult, a group, or an older teen, you can sign up to ring the Salvation Army Bell and help spread Christmas cheer.
How To Sign Up
If you would like to ring the bell in Thayer, you can contact Ronda at First Baptist Church on Monday and Wednesday from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm and on Thursdays from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. The phone number is 417-264-3403. If you want to ring the bell in Alton, you can call 417-270-0097. [1]
Bell Ringing
If you sign up to ring the bell, you will get a bell to ring, and usually you’ll get an apron to wear as well. You can sing Christmas carols or just say “Merry Christmas.” Bell ringers can ring the bell usually for one hour or a couple of hours.
