The Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children (CASA) is hosting the Blue Dress Run-walk on Saturday, April 17, 2021, in West Plains, Missouri, at 10:00 am [1].

Events

There will be a 5K (3.1 miles) walk/run and there will be a 1-mile run/walk.

Cost

The cost for people ages 13 and up for the 5K is $15. For children ages 5-12 (for the 5K) is $10. For the one-mile run/walk, the cost is $5, unless you are under 5 years of age, than you can participate without cost.

Registration

You can pre-register before the 17th or you can do it the day of the race at this site.  You can also register in person at 101 Washington Ave., West Plains.

The Cause Behind It

April is child abuse and neglect awareness month. In honor of that, CASA is holding this run/walk to raise awareness of it.

Awards Given Out

For the first 150 participants, they will receive a “Wipe out child abuse” sports towel. The first 150 runners that finish the race will receive medals.

Location

The run will start at Wages Brewing Company in East Towne Village, 1382 Bill Virdon Blvd., West Plains, Missouri.

Masks

Masks are required both before and after the race.

Inclement Weather

In case of inclement weather, the event will reschedule to May 1.
