Are you looking for some excuse to get outdoors this Saturday? This may be what you are looking for. The West Plains High School Lady Zizzer Basketball Team is hosting a 5K and 1 Mile Walk/Run set for Saturday, Jan. 6, 2024. The event will begin and end at the Ozarks Healthcare Main Entrance, located at 1100 Kentucky Ave., West Plains, Mo., at 8 a.m.
Following the Walk/Run, a pancake and sausage breakfast will be served by Lady Zizzer Basketball players for a minimum $5 donation. The breakfast will begin at 9 a.m. in Grill 59, located inside Ozarks Healthcare. Participation in the Walk/Run is not required to join the breakfast.
Costs And Awards
The 1-mile entry fee is $15 per participant, and the 5K entry fee is $25 per participant. Medals will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place male and female finishers in the following age groups: 12 & under, 13-18, 19 & older.
Location
Both the 5k and the 1 mile will begin and end at the Ozarks Healthcare Main Entrance. Long-time Zizzer supporter Dennis Crider designed the courses.

You can also arrive at approximately 7:15 a.m. on the morning of the event to complete a registration form in person.
