The primary election for Missouri will take place on Tuesday, August 2, 2022. The election is to pick one candidate from a party to stand against all other parties in the November general elections. Primary Elections

Missouri holds its primary elections on August 2, 2022. The last day to register to vote in Missouri is July 6, 2022. Registering is a prerequisite for casting your ballot. If you can not make this deadline, the deadline for registering to vote for the general elections on November 8, 2022, is October 12, 2022.

Voter Registration Requirements

In Missouri, one needs to be a minimum of 18 years old to vote. However, one may be 17 1/2 to register for an upcoming election. One must be a U.S. citizen. And lastly, in order to vote in Missouri, one must be a Missouri resident. Even if you meet all of those qualifications, one cannot simply show up at an election booth to vote. You need to register ahead of time. One can register on line here or you can stop by the county clerk’s office at 1 Court Square Room 1, in Alton.
