Alton, Mo. –The junior varsity and varsity Alton Lady Comets got wins over the Bakersfield Lions at the Alton High School Gym on January 29, 2024. The JV won 32-20, and the varsity won 67-43.
JV
The junior varsity were relatively close the entire game. For a little bit, the Lions had the lead. The final score was 32-20, with the Comets taking the win.
Varsity
The Lady Comets varsity team struggled a little bit at first, making several turnovers. At halftime, the score was 33-18, with the Comets in the lead. As the game went on, the Comets got into a rhythm and started to outscore the Lions. The final score was 67-43, with the Lady Comets improving to 19-2 on the season.
